5-Day Mount Kenya Northern Vistas: The Panoramic Timau Route

5 Days

Introduction

The Timau Route approaches Mount Kenya from the northern side, offering a remote and less-traveled path to the high alpine zones. It is celebrated for its wide-open moorlands, sweeping views of the northern plains, and a gentle gradient that is ideal for gradual acclimatization. While it provides an exclusive, quiet approach, it connects seamlessly with the Summit Circuit Trail, allowing trekkers to conquer Point Lenana from the Austrian Hut.
